NYS Senator Phil Boyle Announces Funding for Brentwood State Park Dugouts

On Saturday April 26, 2014 the Brentwood Braves Green hosted the Smithtown Bulls for Opening Day of the 2014 Brentwood Developmental Baseball Program at beautiful Brentwood State Park (BSP).  Our special guest

was State Senator Phil Boyle who returned to BSP to have the honor of throwing the ceremonial first pitch of the season in recognition of all his tireless work for the community of Brentwood, young athletes and Brentwood Travel Baseball.   During the ceremony Senator Boyle was given a huge ovation from over 150 players and fans when Brentwood Travel Baseball’s Vice President, Mel Soto announced that through the leadership of Senator Boyle construction funds have been secured for NYS Parks to build Dugouts on Fields One and Two during 2014.  Vice President Soto noted “that with this long-awaited construction, funds already raised by Brentwood Travel Baseball can now be used for even more upgrades to Brentwood’s Jewel of a Ballpark and a heartfelt thanks goes out to our friend Senator Boyle”.
